I was and will be a happy user of Organics Alive now that the finest organic soil amendment and tea extractors are AGAIN! available in northern California.

Here is my story: As a licensed contractor in the custom home industry I have successfully integrated the soil amendment and Bio tea from Organics Alive into all of my organic gardening and horticultural projects over the last 5 years. My results have always exceeded those of my competitors, even though I am organic and they are not, which in turn has lead to the success of getting future contracts. There is a Green revolution taking over the markets. Organic gardening, lawns and decorative gardens are important for the ecology of our planet, and a true "green" product for the consumer. The quality of the Organics Alive products is a major contributor to the quality, vigor and overall health of my agricultural projects and is a tremendous "tool" in my bag of tricks. With an almost magical touch on the gardens, lawns and shrubs of my clients it was easy to sell my services to new customers. Who does not want the greenest yard in the neighborhood? And with no chemical pesticides or fertilizers!!


About 12 months ago the product disappeared off of the retail shelves. It was replaced by a product called Vermi Blend. At that time I went around to all available vendors and secured the last 150 +/- bags of Organics Alive that I could find. I had such great results with the product I did not want to switch and my customers expected the finest results.



In those 12 months I have done several side by side comparison tests between the two products: When each product is ran through a quarter inch mesh screen. The difference is obvious. The smells are different, the organics alive smells rich, leaves little behind on the screen, is dark black in color and consistent. The vermi blend contains dirt clods, sticks, rocks and misc. trash that remain on the screen. When your primary ingredient is compost that is not important to the manufacturer maybe that should be expected, but as a professional I do not like to pay for dirt clods, rocks, sticks and misc. rubbish including plastic waste and glass bits and be told its a "premium blend".


The two products, when turned into a tea for watering are also very dissimilar. Organics Alive is robust smelling like a strong dark roast coffee. vermi blend smells stagnant and murky. The results are very different also. The Organics Alive is like MANNA from heaven for my plants, within 24 hours of application of the tea brew there are visible signs of improved health and vigor. The vermi blend shows little to no improvement over basic organic nutrients. The microbial life contained in the Organics Alive is organic plant rocket fuel, no chemicals or pesticides just MANNA from HEAVEN.


The final test was in soil and water pH test. A good soil amendment and brewing mix takes into account the pH of both the soil and water levels, this has been addressed by the Organics Alive organization through extensive research and development of their superior product. Vermi Blend does not have a soil chemist available to discuss such educated topics.
